[This does not mean the people who are ‘righteous’ are not called by God, but that unless they recognise that they are sinners too they will not beable to accept Jesus’ sacrifice for their sins since they will not beable to understand it. Such a sacrifice would only mean something to them if they were able to acknowledge that without it they would be lost (the wages of sin is death; the soul who sins is the one who will die)]
