How do I overcome temptation, sin, bad habits, wrong doing?

Act 10:43 BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST ...
'All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives foregiveness of sins through his name.'

Acts 2:38-39
'Peter replied, "Repent and be baptised, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call."

Proverbs 15:6 LOVE ...
'Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil.'

Mark 11:25 FORGIVE ...
'And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.'

I Corinthians 10:13 TRUST ...
'No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so you can stand up under it.'

Hebrews 4:15 Know that you are not alone ...
'For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathise with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin.

Hebrews 2:14-18 Jesus can relate to you...
'Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death - that is the devil - and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendents.

For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

"How do I love life more?"

1 Peter 3:10
'For,
"Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn from evil and do good;
he must seek peace and pursue it.
for the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

"What is sin?"

James 4:17
'Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.'

"How should I treat people?"

1 Timothy 5:1-2
'Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but extort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.'

"What about cultural superstitions and practices?"

1 Timothy 4:7-8
'Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.'

"As a Christian, do I have to abstain from any foods?"

1 Timothy 4:1-5
'The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbide people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. for everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.'
